Manager Duties
The City Manager's duties are detailed in the City Charter. In summary, the City Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of all city functions. Those duties include personnel administration, budget development and management, and enforcing city ordinances. 

Manager Experience
Kim Davis began serving the City of Hondo in 2014 as Assistant City Manager and became City Manager in 2015. in this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the local government and reports directly to the Mayor and the City Council, who are elected on a non-partisan basis. 

Under her leadership, Kim's greatest accomplishments are:
  • Changing the entitlement environment to accountability environment for everyone no matter their job title or seniority.
  • Creating good leadership from within, and leading by example.
  • Creating a more transparent and unified staff. 

Kim and her husband, Vaughn have 3 adult children and a second grader. She is an avid sports fan (Go Cubbies and Hook'em Horns!) She enjoys learning about leadership principles and best practices but most of all enjoys time with her family.
